Executive Director Position

New Mexico Medical Board

The Executive Director’s primary responsibilities are to manage the Board’s operations that includes a total of nineteen (19) staff and an annual budget of over $3,000,000.  The Director oversees licensing, compliance and investigations of Medical Professionals licensed in the State of New Mexico and provides direction to the agency staff.  This position is responsible for recommending and drafting rules, policy and legislation as it relates to the Medical Board.  The incumbent serves as the representative of the Medical Board to all local, state and national organizations.

Administrative Services Division Director

Department of Information Technology

The Administrative Services Division (ASD) of the New Mexico Department of Information Technology (DoIT) provides the department with support services, financial control, and reporting activities. The department’s overall budget is approximately $417.2 million dollars which includes multiple funding sources. The goal is to maximize accountability through efficient and well-developed business processes.

Gina DeBlassie

Department of Health

Gina DeBlassie is the interim cabinet secretary for the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH). DeBlassie is Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham’s public health advisor and began her role as interim NMDOH secretary in November 2024.

Mariana Padilla

Department of Public Education

Mariana Padilla was named Cabinet Secretary designee for the New Mexico Public Education Department in September 2024.

Padilla has served as the Director of the New Mexico Children’s Cabinet since the start of the administration, leading the Governor’s child and family well-being agenda. She also serves as the Governor’s senior education policy advisor, overseeing early childhood, K-12, and higher education.

Rob Black

Economic Development Department

Rob Black was named Cabinet Secretary designee of Economic Development by Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham in September 2024. As Secretary of Economic Development, Black oversees the state’s efforts to foster economic growth, support businesses, and create jobs across New Mexico.
